The Best Day Ever!

23 April 2019

The Best Day Ever! (a play about the end of the world) is the first draft of a new play produced through a collaboration between Ned Glasier, Emily Lim and the members of Company Three. The group have work intensively over the past 6 months exploring ideas of time capsules, climate change and the pressures on their immediate lives to create this show. The Best Day Ever! is about who we are, how we're connected and how to save ourselves for the future. The show was played over three performances in April with the audiences sharing pizza and feedback at the end of each performance.

The show has received positive feedback from audiences and on social media:

"My perceptions of young people have changed in a positive way, I feel proud and happy. Young people are clever, intelligent and perceptive human beings."

"Last night I saw @company_three’s #C3BestDayEver and it was one of the most joyful shows I’ve seen in ages. Authentic, honest storytelling full of humour and passion. The real deal."

"The Best Day Ever! is another teenaged triumph for @company_three: a funny, fast-paced, fiercely felt & very moving message for the future, if we have one."

The Brewers' Company is proud to support Company Three, who support a permanent ensemble of 75 young people from Islington aged 11-19, all of whom are referred by teachers, youth workers or social workers, through the Dame Alice Owen Foundation.
