Livery Luncheon 2019

12 February 2019

Our first major Livery event of the year took place last week, with almost 80 Liverymen and guests attending a Livery Luncheon at Brewers' Hall. These lunches are an important aspect of the Brewers' Company's work, enabling us to meet two of our key aims, firstly "to provide a meeting place and facilities through which the Company and member companies can promote the interests of brewers the brewing industry" and secondly "to provide a forum to foster social contact within the brewing industry and associate organisations".

At our lunches, we ordinarily bow to convention and serve wine for our guests. However, this time we truly lived up to our brewing heritage by serving beers which had been specially selected to complement the food at each course. We are very grateful to our members Freedom Brewery, Thornbridge Brewery, Young's and Meantime Brewing Company for supporting this initiative with their marvellous beers.
