Wine Tasting Competition 2025

The team from Hook Norton Brewery were victorious at the Brewers’ Company’s Wine Tasting Competition this week, with the Master’s team from Diageo as runners up.

Every two years, the Brewers like to enjoy a drink that isn’t beer and come together for the Company’s biennial Wine Tasting Competition (don’t worry, we have an annual Beer Tasting Competition too!). With wines and expert quizmasters generously supplied by the team at Pol Roger Champagne, the competitors were in good hands as they tasted their way through eight different wines and tried to answer fiendishly challenging questions. It was a fun night which ultimately resulted in victory for Hook Norton Brewery, who showed that their expertise extends beyond malt, barley and hops, to grapes as well!
