Visit to 9F (Islington) Squadron ATC

On Thursday 9 October, the Master and Clerk were delighted to visit the Brewer’s Company’s affiliated Air Training Corps, 9F (Islington) Squadron.

The visit was an opportunity to attend one of the Squadron’s regular Thursday evening meetings and to see some of the activities the Cadets are involved in, including drill, leadership training and a lecture on how to give presentations. 

During the evening the Master presented the Brewers’ Company Award 2025 to FS Jemaya Macias Binici Marrero (pictured below) in recognition of her incredible work stepping into a more senior position within the Squadron in recent months.

The Master, Fergus McMullen, said: “It really was wonderful to talk to so many of the Cadets that evening and hear their stories about how much they had grown in character since joining. I wish that there were more Cadet centres throughout the UK.”
