Noshing and Networking with the Brewers

Our first Livery Luncheon for Guests in 2017 took place this week and we are pleased to report that it went down a storm! We were delighted to welcome over 90 Liverymen and guests to Brewers' Hall for this extremely popular event, which gave attendees a chance to catch up with colleagues from the brewing industry over a delicious lunch.

The Brewers' Company are unusual in the Livery world, having retained close ties with our trade over the years and membership of the Livery remains open only to directors and senior management of our member brewing companies. As the Master Brewer, Peter Furness-Smith of McMullen & Sons, pointed out in his speech at the end of lunch, this is what makes events like the Livery Luncheon for Guests so important as they provide a forum for our members to network with their fellow brewers and other industry contacts. This fostering of social contact and dialogue within the industry, along with charitable and educational activities, forms the heart of the Brewers' Company's mission.
