MiSST Summer Update

The Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MiSST) are pleased to share an update on their latest work.

Th huge success of their 10th Anniversary Concert at the Theatre Royal in April is not the only exiting news from MiSST this year. Over the year they have held 9 MiSST Together Days, to provide over 1,000 students with the experience of playing in a massive orchestra with their peers and other students from across the country. MiSST was also shortlisted at the Music and Drama Education Awards for Outstanding Musical Initiative 2023. The MiSST Music Academy had grown exponentially and now offers a larger range of activities including the MiSST Voices Choir, conducting lessons, 121 lessons for students who cannot afford it and much more.  In July MiSST will be holding its annual Residency at Gresham’s School in Norfolk, giving students an intensive musical learning experience, as well as opportunities to grow in confidence and develop team work, resilience and self-discipline.

The Brewers’ Company supports the work in MiSST in Islington through the Dame Alice Owen Foundation.
