Master and Wardens' Tour 2025
11 November 2025
On Monday 10 November the Master and Wardens of the Brewers’ Company conducted their annual ‘Tour’.
The Master and Wardens’ Tour is an essential aspect of the governance of the Company’s charities, giving its senior leaders an opportunity to visit key locations, including the property estate in Islington which generates income for the Dame Alice Owen Foundation and Company’s schools: the Aldenham Foundation and Dame Alice Owen’s School.
As well as enhancing the Master and Wardens’ knowledge and understanding of these key sites, these annual visits are also excellent opportunities for wider strategic discussions, particularly with senior staff at the schools. The tradition of an annual ‘Tour’ dates back hundreds of years and is one of the ways that the Company ensures that its leaders are in the best position to manage its charities effectively for the collective benefit of its beneficiaries.
