The Master Brewer in the Lord Mayor's Show

On Saturday 9 November, the City celebrated the installation of the 696th Lord Mayor of London, Alastair King, with the spectacular Lord Mayor’s Show.

The colourful parade through the streets of the City of London featured over 130 separate floats from the military, charities, businesses, Livery Companies and the Corporation of London. With music and dancing and all sorts of spectacular sights, the parade delighted the crowds that had come out to watch and wave!

In amongst it all was the unique sight of two giant cans of Guinness 0.0 driving along, accompanied by the Master of the Brewers’ Company, her Consort, the Clerk and the Beadle. Diageo’s entry in the parade made a splash and we were delighted that brewers were represented in this wonderful celebration of the work and life of the City.
