Students from both Aldenham and Dame Alice Owen’s Schools performed brilliantly in A Levels and GCSEs this year.
Aldenham School
Staff at Aldenham School had a really enjoyable morning celebrating GCSE results with students and parents. Over a quarter of grades (26.6%) were 8 or 9 and 44.5% were grade 7 or above. Overall the results were the second strongest in the past 8 years.
At A Level, 51% of leavers achieved A* to B grades, with 77.3% of grades at A*-C. Most importantly for the students, 88% of those who applied for university had gained a place at their first or second choice on results day. This year's leavers are off to Oxford, Manchester, Loughborough, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Edinburgh, Bath, Exeter, Queen's Belfast, Queen Mary's London and many other very strong institutions. Several others secured places in the USA as well.

Students at Owen’s once again excelled at GCSE level, with an impressive 93% of all grades classed as a ‘strong’ pass (grade 5 or above). 94% of all students achieved 5 or more standard passes (grade 4+) including English and Maths.
A Level results this year were even better than last year, with 65.7% of all grades achieved at A-A* (63% in 2024) and 97% of all grades at A*-C (94.8%in 2024). Subjects that achieved over 70% A-A* results included Spanish, English Literature, Further Maths, Politics, Product Design, Textiles, Chemistry, Art and History.
