Beer Tasting Competition 2025

Congratulations to Hook Norton Brewery who won the Brewers’ Company Beer Tasting Competition which took place on 16 September!

We were delighted to welcome our members and other guests to another instalment of our annual Beer Tasting Competition at Brewers’ Hall this month. Last year’s champions from Asahi demonstrated their competition winning expertise by developing and presenting a challenging and fun quiz for the teams to take on. Competitors tasted eight different beers and were asked multiple choice questions to identify certain qualities such as ABV, bitterness, additional ingredients and style, before having to guess the name of the beer itself.

It was a very closely fought competition, with just a single point between the winners, Hook Norton Brewery (pictured above), and the runners up, Signature Brew (pictured below). We are very grateful to the quizmasters from Asahi and all of the participants for coming along and making it such an enjoyable evening.
