Beer Tasting Competition 2024

On Tuesday 17 September we were delighted to welcome teams from our member breweries to Brewers’ Hall for the annual Brewers’ Company Beer Tasting Competition.

A brilliantly fiendish quiz was put together by last year’s winners from St Austell and Bath Breweries. It featured eight different beers for the teams to taste, asking them questions that required them to use their sensory skills and beer knowledge to answer. These included ABV, style, colour, bitterness, ‘other’ ingredients and country of origin, among others. With beers ranging from a low-alcohol IPA, to a pineapple hefeweizen, a stout and even a Trappist ale, the teams were certainly kept on their toes!

It was the team from Asahi UK who emerged victorious (pictured above), with Tiny Rebel Brewing Company (pictured below) right behind them in second place. We are very grateful to all of the teams and to the quiz masters for their support of this event.
