A Network of Brewers

01 October 2025

We were delighted to welcome over 90 Liverymen and guests to Brewers’ Hall for our latest Livery Luncheon on 30 September.

With members representing the highest level of the British brewing industry, one of the key strands of the Brewers’ Company’s mission is to provide a forum for social contact within the industry. Our events provide opportunities for our members to interact with a unique business network, and for friends within the industry to keep in touch.

At our recent Livery Luncheon, we were very pleased to be joined by our Liverymen, directors and former directors of brewing companies, and their colleagues, customers, friends and family for a lively and convivial event.

Addressing the guests, the Master, Fergus McMullen, said: “At a time of rapid change in our industry, the Brewers’ Company remains committed to welcoming all brewers to its ranks. It is reassuring that beer is being celebrated like never before, with around 3000 different brews available to our thirsty consumers making our national drink as popular as ever…The Brewers’ Hall has been built, quite literally, on centuries of barley, hops, yeast, and pride. Now I know I’m preaching to the converted, but I’d like us all to appreciate a simple, glorious truth: Beer hasn’t merely accompanied civilisation - it has shaped it.”
