Family fun at the Lord Mayor's Show
Not being put off by the weather, the Lord Mayor’s Show took place on Saturday 12 November and was a joyful celebration, providing fun for all the family. The procession, which set off from Mansion House at 11.05am, included more than 7,000 people, 200 horses and 140 floats. Led by the Band of the Coldstream Guards, there were representatives from all sorts of organisations including Livery Companies, charities, military regiments, Cadets and London businesses. Brewers’ Company guests were able to find great vantage points from which to watch the parade, with only a very short walk back to the shelter of Brewers’ Hall where a warm lunch and cold beer awaited them.
We were very pleased to welcome Liverymen and their guests to the Hall on this special day and particularly happy that so many children and grandchildren were able to come along to join in the fun. This unique event is a fantastic opportunity for our Liverymen to share their affiliation with the Brewers’ Company with their family and friends and we were delighted that those who attended were able to do so.
