Budweis to Brewers' Hall

On Friday 23 March, the Master was delighted to welcome representatives from the Czech Republic Embassy, staff from Budweiser Budvar and other assorted beer lovers to Brewers' Hall for the first glass of Fresh Hop Imperial Lager - Budvar's special new beer brewed from their first hops harvested in 2017 and matured to perfection over 200 days.
This enjoyable event was the culmination of a week long celebration of Budweiser Budvar's beer, which began with a learning visit to the company's brewery in Budweis in the Czech Republic, attended by several Liverymen of the Brewers' Company. This was followed by a drive with the beer, in a convoy of Landrovers, all the way from Budweis to Brewers' Hall.
A glass of delicious beer in the cool spring sunshine outside Brewers' Hall was a great way to end the week and the Brewers' Company was pleased to be able to celebrate this event with our Liverymen and guests.
